Santa Lucia Preserve Wedding | Carmel Wedding

and a few family portrait highlights. yes, always a must have.

Brian and I met at a concert on New Year’s Eve, all thanks to what our friends called “Tall People Eye Contact.” At a dashing 6’6″, Brian approached my sister, a friend, and me (all at or above six feet tall) and asked if this was where the “volleyball girls hang out.” Not usually ones to be swayed by a line, we gave him the benefit of the doubt and I’m so happy that we did. Brian and I quickly learned we had so much more in common than just our height and the rest is history!
When Brian and I first toured The Preserve, we walked across the Ranch House lawn and he said to me, “I could really see us getting married here.” I burst into tears: hearing him say that was so meaningful, and we knew we had found where we would officially join our lives in the presence of our beloved family and friends. We loved the pristine yet untouched natural elements of The Preserve and felt that it showcased to our friends and family all of the aspects of California that we cherish: the rolling hills and oak trees, abundant wildlife, the rustic barn, and the cathedral-like redwood grove. We spent the weekend in awe of our love for each other, for our friends and family, and for such a special celebration in the most idyllic place.
