South of France, Chamonix and Annecy | Personal Post

This year has been filled with so many highs and lows. tis the season of Peace, Love and Happiness, which was our christmas card slogan this year, and every year, as these three words sum up our years. sometimes as reminders and others in celebration. too busy with work, travels and docs, my personal posts have been slipping, Barcelona is next, and our Oregon climbing adventures will be quickly to follow, and off to whistler in February, but for now, here is our Chamonix and Anncey workcation adventure this summer…

first comes the snow, the hikes and the people watching… and watching the real mountaineers. i could see the jealousy in matt’s eyes. but regardless it was fun to get up there at take pics, on top of mount blanc. made our little 10 mile hike look meaningless, but i was sure darn proud of myself.  tiny victories!

and then to the sunshine, where are real work began! as if capturing a wedding in a place like this is even considered work! i love destination weddings, the excuse to travel and see places you wouldn’t necessarily see.

added bonus, i met this couple at my sisters wedding in cuba, so i was able to make it a little family vaca too.

so many win wins! brp_0997webbrp_1008-copybrp_3267webbrp_1013img_0189-copyimg_0461webbrp_0956

an iPhone pic, but my brother in law was so excited that i trusted him to take this phone while he bobbed up and down in the water… anything for the shot, right?

Processed with VSCOcam with f3 preset

this last image still cracks me up. Matt was getting the couple from he bridge and i was trying to hide in the back of a very open boat, in hopes to edit myself out later. but this one was just too priceless, had to keep it as is!  (the money shot is just under it, no third wheel there)
